Figaro stands in a polluted space, a symbol of chaos and destruction. Once graceful and imposing, Figaro has soiled his surroundings with black oil stains dripping from the walls and floor. The oils symbolize the pollution that spreads, as the splendor of his surroundings slowly perishes.
