#1 – Shade of Time
The Shade of Time series depicts themes of connection, strength and vulnerability in a dialogue between man and nature. In Mirror Olive, we see an olive tree reflected in the water, a powerful symbol of timelessness and deep connection to the earth. The image exudes a tranquility and permanence that emphasizes the unchanging presence of nature.
In Wrapped Child, the complex relationship between mother and child is expressed. The woman carries the child in her arms, a universal symbol of care and protection. Yet the child seems to be resting as if she wants to gently hand it over to the world, as if she is seeking a moment to find space and time for herself. This pose can be read as the mother exuding both strength and vulnerability as she struggles with the balance between her responsibility to the child and her need for space for herself.

A contrast is created between the societal expectation that a woman is in life with perseverance, strength and beauty, and the personal reality in which rest and letting go are sometimes necessary. The sculpture thus communicates not only the physical bearing of the child, but also the symbolic weight of expectations and the subtle balance between giving and letting go.

The two works together reveal the tensions and connections that arise in human and natural cycles of giving and receiving. Shade of Time modestly captures the balance between carrying and letting go, both in nature and in human relationships.

#2 – Tides of Silence

Tides of Silence is an ode to the purity of nature, where the boundaries between earth and sky blur, and the soul finds space to come to rest. The images capture not only a geographical place, but also an inner state of being – a state where simplicity and silence bring us back to a deep connection with the elements.
