The Loss Of Splendor
Symbolizes the impermanence of natural beauty and the way we objectify and display that beauty. The feathers, once alive and part of the peacock, now hang on the wall as art. This work explores the theme of loss and how something of value is retained and admired even when the original creature, like the peacock, has lost its splendor. The contrast between the impressive feathers and the fragile peacock highlights the separation between what we consider beautiful and the price paid for it.
The series “One day at the museum” won a jury award in the prestigious IPA AWARDS 2023.
